🤝 Sincere Apology Builder

Most apologies fail for one of four reasons: they contain “but”, they apologise for the other person’s feelings instead of your behaviour, they explain rather than own it, or they promise nothing. This walks you through the five parts that work and warns you when you drift.

Fill in the first three boxes at least.
The part nobody mentions

An apology is an offer, not a transaction. You do not get to decide when it is accepted, and asking “so are we okay?” hands the other person a job at the exact moment they are least equipped to do it. Say your piece, then let them respond on their own timeline — which may be days, or may be never. Doing the thing you said you would change is the rest of the apology.
