🌡️ Aquarium Heater & Chiller

Calculate precision heating wattage, evaporative surface loss, and cooling chiller ratings. Eliminates the catastrophic "stuck heater" disaster using fail-safe dual heater redundancy math.

Recommended Heating Wattage
200 Watts
Thermal Lift Needed
+12°F (+6.7°C)
🛡️ Failsafe Redundant Configuration (Prevents Stuck Thermostat Disasters)
Deploy TWO independent 100-Watt heaters placed on opposite ends of the tank.
Why this saves your livestock: A single 200W heater stuck "ON" will boil your aquarium within 12 hours. A single 100W heater stuck "ON" lacks the thermal wattage to overheat your water past safe limits, while if one fails "OFF", the second prevents lethal hypothermia.
Pro Tip: Plug both heaters into an external dual-relay controller (e.g. Inkbird ITC-308). Set the heater dials 2° higher than the Inkbird probe setpoint for dual hardware protection.
❄️ Summer Cooling & Chiller Analysis No chiller needed
Your peak summer room temperature does not exceed target water temperature. Normal ambient thermal dissipation is sufficient.
