The one-page strategy board that consultants charge a day rate to facilitate. Fill the nine blocks of a
Business Model Canvas or a Lean Canvas, get prompted when a block is too thin to be true, and leave with
Markdown, JSON or a printed sheet. Your answers are stored in this browser only — nothing is uploaded
and nothing is shared.
Which canvas, and how to fill it honestly
Use the Business Model Canvas when the business already exists and you are mapping how it
creates and captures value. Use the Lean Canvas when the business is still a hypothesis:
it swaps partners and activities for Problem, Solution, Unfair Advantage and Key Metrics, because those are
the parts that kill early startups. Two rules make the exercise worth doing: write one idea per line rather
than paragraphs, and write down the version you would be embarrassed to show an investor — the gap
between that and the tidy version is the real information. Your canvas is saved to this browser's local
storage; clear your site data and it is gone, so export it when it matters.
