1. Direct Unrelenting Pressure: Place clean gauze/cloth over wound and lean your entire upper-body weight directly onto the bleed.
2. Pack the Wound: If deep bleeding in junctional zones (groin, armpit, neck), pack cloth deeply into the wound cavity and maintain hard direct pressure for at least 3 minutes.
3. Tourniquet (Limbs Only): Place 2-3 inches above bleeding site (never over a joint). Wind windlass rod until bright arterial bleeding completely ceases and distal pulse vanishes. Lock rod and record exact time applied on patient's forehead (e.g., "TK 14:32").
