Judges mark each dive 0–10 in half-points. With 7 judges the two highest and two lowest marks are discarded and the three middle marks are summed; with 5 judges only the highest and lowest are dropped. That sum is multiplied by the dive's degree of difficulty (DD) for the total. (Synchronised diving uses a 0.6 adjustment — not applied here.)
