Finishing rules of thumb: about 1 gallon of joint compound per 100 ft² of board, one 250 ft roll of tape per 400 ft², and roughly 1¼ screws per square foot (a 1 lb box holds ~150 screws). These are estimates — butt joints and skim coats push the compound up.
