Halloween costume ideas in seconds: pick who it is for, the vibe and the budget, and get three complete costumes with everything you need.
Rough making time for the three ideas, from the effort band each one sits in. Cost is the band you chose, not a quote.

Start from what you already own. The best cheap costume is a silhouette people recognise instantly — a black outfit and a pair of cat ears beats an expensive outfit nobody can name. Pick one clear signifier (hat, ears, mask, colour) and let the rest of the outfit be comfortable clothing you already have.
Every idea carries an effort band, a cost band and a warmth band. The generator filters to the ones that fit your answers, then draws three at random from a seeded shuffle so the same seed always gives the same three and “other ideas” walks through the rest. If a filter is too narrow to leave three ideas, it relaxes the least important one and says so.
Layers beat fabric every time. A black base layer under a vampire cape is warmer than a thick costume with bare arms, and it can be removed indoors. Face paint cracks in the cold and smears on masks; a hat and gloves you can take off are the difference between a happy child and a miserable one at nine o'clock.
Avoid long trailing fabric near candles, choose visibility over accuracy (reflective tape on dark costumes), and make sure masks do not block peripheral vision on the walk home. If a costume includes a prop weapon, keep it obviously fake and soft.
