Places that often help — in almost every town on earth:
  • 🍞 Food banks / food pantries — free groceries, usually weekly. Some need a referral note (ask them how).
  • 🙏 Gurdwaras (Sikh temples) — a free hot meal (langar) for anyone, no questions, no faith needed.
  • 🍲 Community kitchens & soup kitchens — free or tiny-cost hot meals.
  • 🧊 Community fridges — take what you need, often outside shops or centres.
  • 🏫 Schools & children’s centres — often feed kids directly and know every local aid route.
  • 🏛️ Councils / municipalities — ask for “emergency food support” or “hardship help”.
  • 📚 Libraries — warmth, internet, noticeboards full of local help, kind staff.
  • Faith & community groups of all kinds — most help regardless of belief. Just ask.

🛡️ Stay safe while getting help: real food aid is always free — never pay “fees” to access it. Never share bank passwords or PINs with anyone offering help. Meet strangers in public places in daytime. If anyone is in immediate danger, call the emergency number where you live. Runs offline · nothing you type ever leaves this browser.
