๐Ÿงด Herbal Salve & Balm Crafter

Formulate medicinal balms and herbal salves. Calculates exact beeswax-to-infused-oil ratios for soft rubs, standard tins, or heat-resistant summer lip balms.

โš–๏ธ Batch Formulation Weights:
๐ŸŒฟ Infused Herbal Oil:
96 g
(Calendula, Arnica, or Comfrey)
๐Ÿ Pure Beeswax Pellets:
24 g
(Gives structure & protective seal)
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Vitamin E (Antioxidant): 1.2 g (~24 drops) ๐Ÿ’ง Essential Oil: ~24 drops (1%)
The Freezer Spoon Test: Before pouring into tins, place a metal spoon in the freezer for 5 minutes. Dip the cold spoon into the melted salve on the double boiler. It solidifies in 30 seconds, letting you test the exact final firmness on your fingertip! If too soft, add a pinch of beeswax; if too hard, add a splash of oil.
Infusion Golden Rule: Always use 100% bone-dry herbs when making infused oils. Any residual water moisture inside fresh plant material creates an anaerobic environment prone to bacterial mold and botulism.
