📄 PDF Copy-Paste Fixer

Copy text out of a PDF and you get a line break every few words, “docu- ment” split in two, fi and fl ligatures that break search, and page numbers and running headers in the middle of sentences. Paste it here to get clean paragraphs back — the paragraph breaks you actually want are kept.

Fixes

Hyphen rule: a line-ending hyphen is removed when the next line starts in lowercase (“com- pleted” → “completed”); real compounds you can keep by unticking. Words like “well-known” split exactly at their own hyphen can’t be told apart from a broken word by text alone, so the tool keeps the hyphen after common compound prefixes (well-, self-, non-, half-…) and when the same pair appears hyphenated elsewhere in your text. Runs in your browser.
