Issue fee — money claims (fees order 1.1–1.8). Up to £300: £35 · £300.01–£500: £50 · £500.01–£1,000: £70 · £1,000.01–£1,500: £80 · £1,500.01–£3,000: £115 · £3,000.01–£5,000: £205 · £5,000.01–£10,000: £455 · £10,000.01–£200,000: 5% of the value · over £200,000: £10,000. Interest counts towards the value.

Possession and other non-money claims. Possession, County Court: £415 · possession, High Court: £559 · other non-money, County Court: £387 · other non-money, High Court: £663.

Hearing fees (fees order 2.1). Small claims: £27 (up to £300) · £59 (to £500) · £85 (to £1,000) · £123 (to £1,500) · £181 (to £3,000) · £346 (over £3,000). Fast track: £619. Intermediate and multi-track: £1,334. The hearing fee is payable when the court allocates, and a case that settles before the hearing does not pay it.

Probate. Application fee for an estate over £5,000: £526 (no fee at or below £5,000) · extra sealed copies ordered with the application: £2 each · copies ordered later: £16 each · a second application after a grant: £22. The fee is a flat charge and is separate from any Inheritance Tax.

Online issue. Money Claim Online (MCOL) and Secure Data Transfer accept money claims up to £99,999.99; the Online Civil Money Claims (OCMC) service is for claims up to £10,000. Above those limits the claim is issued on paper or through CE-File.

Help with fees. Means-tested remissions and part-remissions are available (form EX160, or the online service); a fee can also be refunded if the claim settles before allocation or the hearing fee is no longer required.
