The one-page licence.

This is the agreement you sign to use a MrProphecy track in your video, game, film or advert. Fill in your project and the licence updates as you type. Nothing you enter leaves your browser. When it looks right, email it over, or print it or save it as a PDF.

A draft only becomes a licence once both sides have agreed the fee by email, signed, and the fee has been paid. This is a plain-English template, not legal advice. For large or exclusive deals, have a solicitor look it over.

Music Synchronisation Licence

Licensor: Russell Head, trading as MrProphecy, Luton, England (“we”).

1. What is licensed

The musical composition and sound recording “” by MrProphecy (the “Track”), for use in (the “Production”).

2. The grant

We grant you a licence to synchronise the Track with the Production and to reproduce, distribute and publicly perform the Production containing it, in , in , . You may edit the Track for length, fade it, loop it and mix it under dialogue or effects. Trailers and promos for the Production are included.

3. Fee

You pay a one-off fee of . This licence takes effect when we receive payment. There are no further royalties from you, although we keep any performing-rights income collected by our collection society.

4. What is not included

You may not: release the Track or a remix of it on its own; use it in a different production; sublicense it; use it in political, hateful, defamatory or unlawful content; imply that MrProphecy endorses a product beyond the use agreed here; or use the Track to train or fine-tune any AI or machine-learning model.

5. Credit

Where credits appear, or in the video description for online uses, you will credit: . If a credit is left out by accident, you will add it when reasonably practicable. That fixes the problem.

6. Content ID

If an automated system (for example YouTube Content ID) flags the Production, we will release the claim or allow-list your channel within 5 working days of your request. You will give us the video link or channel ID.

7. Our promise

We confirm that we own or control 100% of the rights in the Track, that no one else needs to approve this licence, and that your use as licensed here will not infringe anyone’s rights. If a third party claims otherwise, we will deal with it at our own cost.

8. Ending the licence

If the fee is not paid within 30 days of the invoice, or you use the Track outside this licence and do not fix it within 14 days of our notice, we may end the licence in writing. Uses already published before a lawful end remain licensed. Otherwise this licence lasts for the term above.

9. General

This is the whole agreement between us about the Track. Changes must be in writing, and email counts. The laws of England and Wales apply, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
