One page for everything legal across this domain — both The Most Useful Site In The World (the tool catalogue) and MrProphecy (the music pages). Plain English, no filler.
1. Who runs this site
This site is built and maintained by one individual trading as MrProphecy, based in Luton, United Kingdom. It is not a registered company. It is hosted as static files on GitHub Pages.
Contact for anything on this page — privacy requests, complaints, copyright, sponsorship: hello@themostusefulsiteintheworld.com. Expect a reply within 30 days; usually much sooner.
For UK GDPR purposes the site owner is the data controller for the limited processing described below.
2. Privacy — what data is and isn't collected
The honest position, stated precisely:
- There is no server and no database. Every tool in the catalogue runs entirely inside your browser. Anything you type into a calculator, converter, generator or game is processed on your device and is never transmitted to the site owner.
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no logins. Nothing to register for, so no name, email or password is ever held.
- No advertising network anywhere on the site, and no data is ever sold, rented or shared. The site does use Google Analytics to count visits in aggregate — see §3.
- A small number of tools must send your input to work — around 14 of 562, such as translation and dictionary lookups. Those carry a visible notice on the tool itself. Everything else, including the Wi-Fi QR generator and every calculator, runs entirely on your device.
- Some tools save your work locally using your browser's
localStorage— for example tool ratings, budget entries or game scores. That data stays on your device, is readable only by this site in that browser, and disappears when you clear your browser storage. It is never uploaded. - Google Analytics is active on this site and sets third-party cookies. What it collects and how to opt out is set out in §3.
Hosting logs. The site is served by GitHub Pages. GitHub processes standard technical request data (including IP address) to deliver pages and to protect the service. The site owner has no access to those logs and cannot identify visitors from them. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Email. If you email the address above, that email and any reply are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, then deleted.
Children. The site is general-audience and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including under-13s.
3. Cookies and third-party services
The site sets no cookies of its own, but it does load Google Analytics, which sets third-party cookies and storage in order to count visits. This is disclosed rather than hidden, and you can opt out at any time — see the bottom of this section.
The site has no server of its own and no database. Here is every third party your browser may contact while a page is open:

Browser storage. Some tools save your work on your own
device using localStorage — tool ratings, budget entries, game
scores. This is storage you control, not a cookie, it is never transmitted
anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.
How to opt out of Google Analytics. Any of these work and none of them break the site:
- Install Google's official opt-out browser add-on.
- Turn on "Do Not Track" or block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
- Use any standard content blocker — the site is built to work perfectly with analytics blocked.
Lawful bases: consent where required for analytics storage, and legitimate interests for delivering the pages securely and answering emails you choose to send. If you are in the UK or EU and would prefer a consent banner before analytics loads, say so at the contact address in §1 and it will be added.
4. Your data rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. In practice, because the site holds almost nothing:
- Erase everything stored on your device: clear site data for this domain in your browser settings. That removes all saved tool data.
- Opt out of analytics: nothing to opt out of — the site runs none.
- Anything else: email hello@themostusefulsiteintheworld.com and it will be handled within one month, free of charge.
If you are unhappy with the response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
5. Terms of use
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
- The tools are provided free of charge, for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. No sign-up, no licence fee, no usage limits.
- The site is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. There is no uptime guarantee and content may change or be removed at any time.
- Do not use the site to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attack, overload or interfere with the site or its hosting.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site owner is not liable for any loss or damage — including lost profit, lost data or consequential loss — arising from use of, or inability to use, this site or anything produced with it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- External links are provided for convenience. The site owner does not control and is not responsible for third-party sites or their content.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your home country.
- Terms may be updated; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
6. Tool accuracy disclaimer
Every tool here is an estimate or an educational aid, not professional advice. Check anything that matters against an authoritative source before relying on it. In particular:
- Health, fitness and body tools (BMI, BMR, calorie, body-fat, heart-rate, child growth, sleep, herbal and natural-remedy references) are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Speak to a qualified clinician. Never stop or change prescribed treatment based on a web tool.
- Financial tools (mortgage, loan, salary, tax, net worth, student loan, credit card, currency, break-even, business metrics) are not regulated financial, tax or investment advice. Figures are illustrative and rates and rules change.
- Electrical, structural and engineering tools (voltage drop, wire gauge, breaker and conduit sizing, load, transformer, solar, inverter, motor startup) are rough sizing aids only. Real installations must be designed, installed and signed off by a competent person under the applicable standards and building regulations in your jurisdiction. Do not use these outputs as a substitute for a qualified electrician or engineer.
- Legal and document generators (including the privacy policy generator, invoice, contract and template tools) produce starting drafts, not legal advice, and create no solicitor–client relationship. Have anything important reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
- News and data feeds display third-party content unedited and in real time. Headlines and figures belong to their publishers and are not endorsed or verified by this site.
7. Donations and sponsorship
- Donations are voluntary gifts to support ongoing development. They buy no goods, no service, no membership and no priority support. Every tool stays free to everyone whether you give or not.
- Payments are handled entirely by PayPal. This site never sees or stores your card or payment details. PayPal's own terms and privacy policy apply.
- Donations are generally non-refundable, but if you gave by mistake, email within 30 days and it will be refunded.
- The site owner is not a registered charity, so donations are not tax-deductible.
- Sponsorship placements, if any, are clearly labelled as sponsored. Sponsors receive no visitor data, no tracking pixels and no influence over tool output or editorial content. Enquiries via the address in §1.
- Nothing on this site is an offer, promotion or solicitation to buy any financial instrument, security or crypto-asset.
8. Copyright, trade marks and fan content
Site code. The HTML, CSS and JavaScript written for this site are © the site owner and released under the MIT Licence — see LICENSE in the repository. You may reuse, adapt and embed the tools; keep the copyright notice.
Music, artwork, photography and video. All MrProphecy recordings, lyrics, cover art and press images are © MrProphecy, all rights reserved, and are not covered by the MIT Licence. No commercial use, sampling, sync or redistribution without written permission.
Third-party libraries bundled or loaded by some pages remain under their own licences.
Trade marks. Third-party names, logos and characters referenced anywhere on this site remain the property of their owners. Specifically, the Sonic fan page is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SEGA or Sonic Team, and Sonic the Hedgehog and all related marks are trade marks of SEGA. Likewise, political, governmental and news pages on this site are independent, unaffiliated commentary and information tools; no endorsement by any party, government body or news publisher is claimed or implied.
User content. Anything you type into a tool stays yours and stays on your device. No licence to it is granted or claimed.
9. Takedown and complaints
If you believe something here infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, or is otherwise unlawful, email hello@themostusefulsiteintheworld.com with:
- the exact page URL and a description of the material;
- what right you hold and evidence you hold it;
- your contact details;
- a statement that your complaint is made in good faith.
Valid complaints are acted on promptly — usually the same week — and material is removed or corrected while the matter is reviewed. This is a small, one-person site; a polite email resolves things faster than anything else.
