Community Skills-to-Needs Matcher

Community Skills-to-Needs Matcher

Match neighbours’ offered skills and available hours to practical requests. See exactly who could help, which needs remain unmet, and where another volunteer would make the difference.

Use aliases and avoid addresses, contact details or sensitive needs. Obtain consent before sharing a match. Childcare, medical, electrical and other regulated work require appropriate safeguards and qualifications. Browser-only worksheet: no uploads, accounts or automatic saving. Use one agreed master copy; this is not a synchronised multi-user service. Export before closing and share only with consent.

One line: helper alias | skill | hours offered

One line: request label | skill | hours needed

How this works and what it cannot do

Exact case-insensitive skill matching; no inferred qualifications. Requests are handled in listed order and can be split between helpers. Shared helpers must list separate, genuinely available hours per offer. This is a proposed introduction, not a booked service or an optimum allocation.

Agree participation, decision rules and responsibilities locally. These tools do not guarantee prosperity, check legal compliance or replace essential public services. No government funding or administration is assumed.
