📍 Photo Location Leak Scrubber

📍 Photo Location Leak Scrubber

Before you sell something online or post a photo of your home: see whether the picture reveals where it was taken (GPS coordinates), when, and on which phone — then download a copy with that metadata cut out. The image pixels are not re-compressed, so quality is unchanged.

JPEG: APP1 (EXIF/XMP), APP13 (IPTC) and comment segments are removed byte-for-byte; the colour profile is kept. PNG: eXIf, tEXt/zTXt/iTXt chunks removed. WebP: EXIF and XMP chunks removed. Visual clues — street signs, windows, reflections — are not something metadata removal can fix. Many social networks strip GPS on upload; marketplaces, email, cloud links and messaging “send as file” often do not.
